This apple cake recipe is a family favorite. I can’t remember the first time I made it, but it is requested often. It’s a great coffee cake for breakfast or brunch, and also serves well as dessert!

Last night I decided to make it again so I could share it with you. (I’m actually having this for breakfast today!) Apples and cinnamon in the oven…. yum! Try it – it’s a good one!

My name is Sharon Garrison, when I was 17 I met my future husband ( we have been married 45 years now) I asked my grandmother for a cake recipe to make from scratch and this is the same recipe except hers wasn’t written down anywhere. She gave me the ingredients list that I needed and I went to her apple tree and picked the apples. She also told me that I can take this recipe and use it for the base for any fruit. I have used it and made a simple peach cake, Yum.
