A Shocking Story of Good Fortune.

October 17, 2017 by Kimberly Leave a Comment

Electricity, because Watt else?

When the electricity went off at school during a storm, the children were de-lighted.

Q: How does a spoiled rich girl change a light bulb?
A: She says. “Daddy, I need a new apartment!”

My friend told me how electricity is measured and I was like Watt!

Q. Why do fluorescent lights hum?
A. Because they can’t remember the words.

Haha!  Sorry, but I had to lead into this story….

Last year, 2016, the Cuivre River Electric Company held their Annual Meeting, which John & Marilyn usually attend.   Fortunately, they attended this particular time!

You know that John has always been fairly lucky.  Well, he was REALLY lucky this day.

John won a year’s worth of Electricity ($1500 worth), enough to cover his bill until 2017.  (The reason I bring this up now, is because I was just informed that they have recently run out of FREE electric and are beginning to pay again, just like the rest of us!)

Congratulations, John!

And thank you, Cuivre River Electic Cooperative!
